Upon arrival "4:25pm" first indications of swell hitting. I had reports that it was dead flat at 3pm but my intuition was to roll the dice and commit to the drive. 7 or 11?

Honolua Bay Barrels
Buoy 51101 peaked at 13.5ft @21second intervals @315 degrees approximately 2pm HAST "Hawaii Aleutian Standard Time" I knew from doing my calculations that the swell would pick up quickly right around 4:30pm. Sure enough it went from being flat to 4-5ft Hawaiian with some 6 footers at sunset.
